Tenants pay your bank's paybill, your own paybill or till, or your M-Pesa number. Nyumba records each payment but never holds the money and never takes a cut of it. We charge for the plan, by card, and nothing else.
A landlord offers a lease; the tenant reads it and accepts before any rent is billed. Tenants confirm their own details, and can say if they don't know the landlord.
ID numbers, KRA PINs and identity documents are stored encrypted, and documents are checked on our own servers, never sent to an outside service. Each landlord sees only their own buildings and tenants. You can download your data or ask for it to be deleted, as the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 provides.
Landlords confirm their identity, and the ownership of the buildings they list, before their homes show as verified on Nyumba Homes. Every landlord sign-in is confirmed with a code.
